If you want to send a parcel back home, if you want to send a letter with a big size, you need to do this by showing your ID card or your passport. This action is preventive measures against dangerous goods & drug abuses of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB).

How to use the Thailand Post

The very easy way is when you go to Post Office. You can find it in some Malls in Bangkok, even when the Mall is not in the center of Bangkok. The image shows the Thai Postal Service in the Paradise Place Mall, near to the Srinakarin Market. At the entrance you take a ticket-number, you will get a hint when your counter number is ready for you. Just tell your intention, at least one employee should be there who can speak English language, the service usually is very friendly and helpful!

If you know you just want to send some letters or some postcards to your friends and your family, it should be esay to do this. For example, send a letter from one city in Thailand to another city in Thailand, the fee for a standard letter is about 3 Baht! The same letter, sending from Thailand to Europe or the USA, is about 15 Baht. These are the usual prices for a standard letter. It depends on the weight of the letter, so it could be a little different, little bit more, when you send a big letter with lots of pages. But a normal picture postcard has a standard weight and a 15 Baht stamp should be the right fee!

Another way to send some parcels is to use the service at some special points. For example on the first image is the parcel service from DHL and UPS on the Chatuchak Weekend Market (Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd - Soi 35 - near to the MRT Station Kamphaeng Phet), the second image shows a DHL shop at BTS Station Chit Lom. Its a perfect way, go shopping and send your goods to your home!
